Believers Gospel Chapel is deeply committed to plurality of leaders, who are called "elders" in the New Testament. The term elder is best seen in light of their care for the local church family (Timothy 3:15; I Peter 2:17). These men are also described as shepherds who pastor the flock (Acts 20:28; I Peter 5:2). They are to humbly serve the local church (Acts 20:19) and to lead by example (I Peter 5:3). They must meet the qualifications given in I Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
